Microsoft’s costly acquisition of Activision Blizzard netted the company access to one of the biggest IPs in all of gaming, but it also provided a catalogue of games with which to supply Game Pass. Despite this, Microsoft has been very slow in adding Activision titles to the service. But according to a new report, we might start getting a few classics soon.

Leaker eXtas1s has a mixed record when it comes to leaking information, with one very important exception: their Game Pass scoops have been almost 100% accurate.

According to eXtas1s who posted on the Exputer forums, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which is a remaster of the first three Crash games originally developed by Naughty Dog, ” will land on Game Pass sometime in August.”

This report has been backed up by Windows Central who published their article:  “Windows Central’s sources can corroborate this information, meaning Xbox players can look forward to embarking on adventures with the Wumpa-seeking bandicoot in a few weeks.”

eXtas1s also mentioned that they are looking forward to the arrival of Tony Hawk 1+2 and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Both are fantastic games, but sadly eXtas1s isn’t sure when they will be added to the service, saying that they are “coming very soon but I cannot guarantee their arrival to the service in the same month.”

As for Call of Duty, we know that they are coming to Game Pass at some point in the future, but eXtas1s doesn’t know anything about them:  “I currently have no information about whether they will arrive in August, or whether we’d have to wait even longer.”

The upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on Game Pass on day 1, however.

Personally, I’m rather surprised by Microsoft’s reticence regarding adding Activision Blizzard’s catalogue of games to Game Pass. While I think it’s smart to dish out them out slowly, it’s baffling to me that we haven’t gotten at least a few more by this point. Hopefully, if eXtas1s is correct the dam may be breaking very soon.
